Visit Vaucluse and Provence

The town benefits from the calm of the countryside, while being in the immediate vicinity of larger towns. You will be staying less than 10 km from Carpentras, and only a half-hour's drive from Orange and Avignon. Three cities that you should not miss!

The Jardin de Lau is also the ideal starting point for climbing Mont Ventoux, by car, on foot, or by bike. It is finally a perfect place to go and discover the famous Provençal villages and wine estates of the region.

Travel through Vaucluse to meet the producers, by going to Beaumes-de-Venise (less than 3 km away!), to Vacqueyras (6 km away), or to Gigondas (10 km away). Wine lovers and wine tourism enthusiasts, don't hesitate any longer, this place is made for you!

Carpentras, Orange and Avignon...


Less than 10 km from the Jardin de Lau, Carpentras. The capital of the Comtat Venaissin offers you cool alleys, residences, facades and remarkable buildings. The Porte d'Orange, the episcopal palace, the cathedral, the Hôtel-Dieu and the 18th century pharmacy are unmissable.

30 minutes from Aubignan, Avignon, the City of the Popes, famous throughout the world for its monuments and buildings, but also for its festival, in July, one of the most famous contemporary live performance events on the planet.

Also 30 minutes from the Jardin de Lau, Orange, emblematic historic city of the South of France. You will not fail to immortalize in photographs the Arc de Triomphe and the superb ancient theater.

The ascent of Mont Ventoux


A legendary stage of the Tour de France cycling race, feared by the riders in the peloton, Mont Ventoux is a major cycling tourism destination. Thousands of people attempt the climb every year, via one of the three roads that lead to the summit.

But the Giant of Provence is also a paradise for hiking enthusiasts who enjoy the steep trails and exceptional panoramas offered by the site.

Mont Ventoux is also accessible by car. The summit is located about 40 minutes from the Jardin de Lau.

The villages of Provence


Le Jardin de Lau, rental of gîtes with swimming pool on Mont Ventoux will allow you to explore Provence and visit some of its remarkable villages... and there are many of them.

Among them, 30 minutes away, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is one of the must-sees. Peaceful and lively at the same time, it is a paradise for antiques enthusiasts. The antique village is also home to some tasty restaurants.

A little further away, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, 45 minutes away, and Lourmarin, about 1 hour away, are also worth a long stop.

Wine tourism


By staying in Vaucluse, you are in a part of the Kingdom of Côtes-du-Rhône. You will not miss it, the region, fertile land, is occupied by vast vineyards, some of which are famous throughout the world.
